This is the class that you’ve been asking for; we just needed to find the right person to teach it! If you’ve ever been to this wonderful bakery and tea room in Falmouth you know its been worth the wait. Offering both beautiful and delicious baked treats in the European tradition is their specialty. Sheen Bergeron, a graduate of the New England Culinary Institute with a degree in Baking and Pastry, has been decorating cakes there for 3 years. This first class will cover the basics: cutting and trimming the cake layers in order to stack an even torte. Sheen will cover filling possibilities, the proper way to make buttercream frosting.and how to do a perfect crumb coat; everything to get your cake ready for final decoration. This is a hands-on class; included are a set of straight and off-set spatulas; and of course, your own cake to take home!
