Flavors of Puerto Rico
Our own Roxana whose Cinco de Mayo classes have been sold-out sensations will bring her personal experiences to the class featuring flavors from her native Puerto Rico. Starting with the Sofrito (a mixture of peppers, onions, garlic and cilantro), used as the flavor base in Puerto Rican Cuisine, she will be making Pinon, a plantain and beef lasagna, also on the menu are Chayote (pear squash salad), an appetizer of Camarones al Ajillo (garlic shrimp served over avocado slices), and Roxana will end the meal with a dessert of Arroz con Coco (candied coconut rice). We’re very excited about offering this class as the kickoff to our Fall Season!
