We love this enamel coated cast iron pan; not only does it have great heat retention, its versatility allows you to go from stovetop to oven to table without missing a beat. We use it for everything from skillet cornbread to our favorite frittata. The dark enamel interior allows the kind of gentle browning that adds flavor to whatever you’re cooking, be it pan sauteed halibut with vegetables or a savory wild mushroom ragu. The naturally non-stick enamel surface requires no additional seasoning. The 2” pan depth enables easy cooking of shallow fry foods like buttermilk fried chicken, and the side pour spouts allow you to safely and neatly drain away the fat when you’ve finished cooking. Though this pan is dishwasher safe, the enamel coating makes for easy cleanup in hot soapy water with a gentle nylon scrubber. We recommend that you completely dry your pan before storing and avoid using steel wool or harsh detergents.
