This unassuming square of chain mail quickly became a customer favorite here at LeRoux. High grade stainless steel – 316 Grade, same as what is used for surgical implements – is formed into 15 gauge wire rings and then linked together to form a nearly indestructible cast iron cleaning tool. The small rings easily remove stuck-on food bits from your cast iron pan without damaging the delicate seasoning. We find the CM Scrubber to be essential to our cast iron cooking routine, as the seasoning of the pan improves with the gentle cleansing of the chain mail scrubber. As the seasoning continues to develop, you will get better and better results from your cast iron cookware, and reach for them more often.

Here’s how we clean our cast iron pans using the CM Scrubber:  for easiest results, use the CM Scrubber while the pan is still slightly warm. Add some warm water to the pan and swish the scrubber around the edges and sides. No need to soak or use soap!  Rinse away the debris with water and dry the pan well. To clean your CM Scrubber, run it through the dishwasher or wash in the sink. Along with your cast iron pan, this chain mail scrubber might just outlast everything else in your kitchen!
